Tasmania features a cool temperate maritime climate with four distinct seasons. Summers (Dec–Feb) are mild and sunny, with average highs of 17°C to 23°C. Winters (Jun–Aug) are cold with mountain snow, averaging 3°C to 11°C. The weather changes rapidly, frequently experiencing "four seasons in one day".
